Overall Description
The "PAS - Software Device Interface Adapter" JAVA package provides a standardized method to control either real or virtual devices by the MESS system. To demonstrate the integration of a virtual device into MESS, a simple conveyor model was implemented in the AnyLogic Simulation Software and connected to MESS by using the cell device package and a properly configured U-CPPS cell server. The virtual conveyor can be controlled via an HTTP connection and it sends some statistical data to the cell server.
